Description: Betrayal & Beyond is a group for women who have discovered that their spouse or partner is engaging in sexual sin and deception such as pornography use or an emotional or physical affair. This group is a confidential, safe place for women who have had this experience and would like to find encouragement, understanding, & support from others on the same journey. Healing from this type of betrayal comes through understanding the role of trauma, establishing healthy boundaries, exploring the depth of forgiveness offered in Christ, and learning to walk in recovery & restoration by embracing our Christ-given identity. We will be using Pure Desire’s "Betrayal & Beyond” workbook & journal to gain a greater understanding of how the betrayal is impacting our minds, bodies, and souls; apply strategies to keep us emotionally healthy & safe; and meditate on God's Word, allowing Him to speak truth into our situations.
This group will meet for 30 weeks (weekly through the school year and bi-monthly in the summer) and is incredibly powerful but does require a commitment to coming to meetings and approximately an hour of homework each week in the workbook and journal. Your participation is imperative to both your and the other group members’ experience, so please take time to consider whether this is a season in which you can actively engage in this healing journey.
We understand this is a sensitive subject matter and there may be some hesitation in signing up. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all! We want to reassure you that this will be a safe place for you to connect with other women who may have similar experiences as you. Your sign up will only come back to me and will only be shared with the group leaders who will reach out to you to let you know the location of the group.
